The Labyrinth is a sacred pathway that provides a safe, nurturing environment and offers opportunities for recreation, relaxation, healing, meditation and spiritual connection. A Labyrinth differs from a maze in that it is not an intellectual puzzle, which is meant to trick you. Instead, the Labyrinth pathway leads you to the centre, and then spirals you outward to share what you have learned with the world.

Labyrinths have historical signifigance in most cultures and religions throughout the world. They are evident in literature, art, myth and are used for healing, spiritual and recreational purposes. Labyrinths are enjoyed by children, seniors and families. They are being used in public spaces, parks, churches, educational settings and to promote racial harmony and environmental awareness. They are featured in health care facilities for cancer support, AIDS programs, stress relief, and hospice. They are used in family councelling and drug rehabilitation.
